CPPSS00059 Batons and Handcuffs Skill Set

This skill set is for Security Officers who are required to use Batons and Handcuffs as part of their role.
– CPPSEC3110 – Control person using a baton.
– CPPSEC3111 – Restrain persons using handcuffs.

This set of skills encompasses the necessary abilities and knowledge to handle and utilise batons and handcuffs safely and efficiently.
After finishing both units, you’ll gain authorisation to carry a baton and handcuffs as deemed necessary and approved by your current security employer.
During the training process, you’ll develop the proficiency to employ a baton for lawful self-defence and the protection of others while also mastering the correct techniques to apply handcuffs safely and securely.
This course is fully accredited and nationally recognised.

Batons & Handcuffs Course Booking Fee, Eligibility, Duration & Structure, Class Time.

Complete the following steps for course admission.

1. Course Fee $ 245 Pay Online. All books and learning materials are included in the cost.
2. MUST hold CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations OR a current class 1 NSW Security Licence (excluding subclass 1E)
3. To attend Class you MUST bring your Valid Security Licence & Identification.
4. MUST have a valid USI (Unique Student Identifier Number). Check: Get your USI
5. Face-to-face class (2 Days minimum) to complete Theory & Practical components. Assessment includes a blend of group discussions written and practical demonstrations, emphasising techniques with Batons and Handcuffs.
6. Class Time: 10:00 – 17:00

A $50 non-refundable admin fee will be applied if you withdraw from the course after booking and No refund will be issued after the initial class start date.

Presently, this course is conducted at the following venues:

• Parramatta, NSW
• Newcastle, NSW

Award

Once the Student completes the course, the student will be awarded a statement of attainment for the unit of competencies. Control person using a baton CPPSEC3110, Restrain persons using handcuffs CPPSEC3111.

What to Wear

Attire should be neat and casual, with enclosed footwear worn at all times.

Pathways Information

This skill set may provide credit towards CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations and CPP31418 Certificate III in Close Protection Operations.
